Police arrested a 35-year-old Hilo man wanted for a 2013 burglary.

Josiah Ikaika Konanui was arrested Oct. 3 and charged with first-degree burglary, fourth-degree theft and contempt of court. His bail was set at $6,250.

The burglary occurred in September 2013. A 45-year-old man reported that numerous items, including fishing poles, had been removed from his home in Hawaiian Beaches. An investigation led to the recovery of some of the items and to the identity of the suspect.

Last month, police asked for the public’s help in locating Konanui.

Konanui made his initial court appearance Monday.
